Park Crazies

I took the children to the park and had to hide in the bushes so the other mothers didn't know who the kids belonged to.

This poor kid didn't have a chance. First there's G spinning G and then you see a strange kid get on. G and G spin him relentlessly.

The Talent Show

B and I have been working on this skit for a few weeks and today was the big day of the talent show at church. She performed it on stage in front of a bunch of strangers and she remembered all the stuff we talked about with out seeming shy or nervous (I think I was more nervous than she was). She remembered stuff like slow down, and use pretty arms instead of scare-crow arms. I am so proud of her and I hope someday she can use her excellent stage presence to benefit her and others.

Can't see the video? here is the Youtube link... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dkAXOz8MbdE&feature=player_embedded

New school, new year, new busted chin.

First day back to school and note G side pose... yeah, he was a bit embarrassed about the bandage on his chin. He took a spill on the hotel pool deck where Nana and Grandpa P were staying and split it right open. Poor guy.

One of B's more serious moments. That girl has a knack for taking great pictures!

"Way, use the zoom next time."

This was after G asked W to stop taking pictures so he wouldn't be embarrassed.

This one is more paparazzi style picture taking to purposely embarrass him.

Bored without chaos.

We are kid-less. This is our second day without any children in our home... I don't know what to do with myself. G and B are running a muck in Chicago with their Grammy and G is going to New Jersey with his mom and Step Dad. If W and I had school then we could focus on that but that's gone too. What's a mom to do? My mind says make jewelry, sew, sand that rocking chair, paint the crib, do laundry, shop, read, but by the time I finally pick something I have completely mentally exhausted myself and nothing gets done. I guess I will have to relax against my better judgement and save the chaos for the children.

Happy Birthday G and Introducing Pudding!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY G!!!
G gets a necklace display for her dresser. She's so grown UP!

She's wanted this for a lonnnnnnnnnnnng time. Thank you Grammie.
Auntie M has too!
Here come the big gifts...
OMGosh, it's a Fur Real Pony! She has wanted this robotic horse for at least a year and I refused to pay $200.00 for a babys toy. Luckily I found this one at a thrift store for $20.00 and only had to give it a new white ear and 6 fresh D batteries (I made W tote it around and he hated it). Anyway, G finally got her pony Pudding. She really is still my little girl.

G had to sit on Pudding while she blew out the candles. What a goof!

Today is G's Birthday and B & I have been busy sewing and creating canopy capabilities for G's wannabe American Girl Doll Bed. The Girls wanted AGD beds for Christmas and I felt $200.00 + was a bit too much. Well, we scored 20" antique doll bunk beds at a garage sale for $15.00 just before Christmas and they easily separate with wooden dowels. American Girl can't do that for us. So G has expressed an interest in the American Girl Bedding for Julie the Hippie. Well, again money is a factor so this is our fun version of Julie's canopy hippie bedding with PVC canopy extentions some white paint and fun sassy color's. Eat your heart out Julie. I can't wait to see G's face when she sees it!!!!!

Above belong's to Julie Below belongs to G.

G brought a plastic sword home from his moms this past weekend and the kids have developed their pirating skills. They gear up with belts, hats, bags and head out doors to explore the yard. It's pretty cute except things may have gone a little too far... I left the kids home with W while I went to school and discovered some of the goings-on after bedtime as I walked in the door this evening.
yes, there is pen on G face!

Oh well, maybe he'll drool it off tonight as he sleeps.

I'll have S'more Please!

These were our repli-s'mores. We saw a kiosk at the mall last week with fondue snacks and thought we could do it too. They weren't too pretty but they sure were tasty!

Last Day of School Tears

Today was the last day G and B will see their favorite teachers and friends. They are moving on to a new school next year and will miss their past and present teachers immensely. Farewell to F Elementary and adieu to all the teachers and staff at F that have been raising my children for most of the day, everyday over the last 4 years. We will miss you.

It was an emotional afternoon. Mrs. L, G teacher is leaving F too. She will be missed.

G and her D. (Miss D G's teacher)

G and her friends that tower over her. I know how this feels.

G and her best friend J (also the shyest child I've ever met)

Saturday's Trip to the Science Center!

I might as well blog about this too...
I plan to go to the O Science Center often this summer with the kids while they are out of school so we bought the annual membership again because we used it alot the first year we did it. They have a great program an rotating exhibits. This time we have Grossology featuring games about bodily functions and a large esophogus slide and a rectum tunnel for the kids to play in.

Here are a few pictures taken today at the Science Center.

Notice the back of G in the picture below.
He turned on me just as I snapped the camera of course.

F Elementary's 60th B-day Celebration.

G stayed after school every Tuesday for the last couple of months to practice this ensemble. She is so serious about everything she does. She's a good girl.

G's Violin Concert

This is G's 3rd year on the violin with her school ensemble. She does very well. Unfortunately, we have to sit through these concerts with all the inconsiderate parents who talk on the phone, walk around and can't quiet their smaller children during performances. The feeling of pride makes it all worth while.

Da Beach.

First trip of the year to O Beach. The water was about 70 degrees still but the sun was hot and the wind was just right. My Aunt M lives a block from this spot so its nice to visit her use her pool then walk down the beach ramp. No one burned but we did witness my mom G and her sister M riding on a Vespa together while G yelled at M all the way down the road. Those dang Italians!!!! (I was not quick enough with the camera for that.)

A B Honor Roll Assembly April 2009

I had the honor of attending G's Honor Roll Assembly this week at R Elementary. I had a personal verbal invite from G himself. His name was called by the Assistant Principal and he had his 2 seconds of fame for receiving all A's and B's on his report card. Then the mistake was made by announcing CAKE and all the children pushed, shoved, and trampled one another to the cake table. G made out with 2 pieces that he claimed one was for his mom but when she declined it became W piece (he also declined and I was glad I wasn't offered the sloppy thirds cake).

Why is it so hard to get both of them to look at the camera at the same time?
